"It's not a too-mah," Fee said, the Ah-nold impression an automatic and immediate response to an obvious opening. Even so, the delivery was off and distracted. Fiona didn't know if she should be concerned about Karin smelling this ghost scent, but it definitely didn't feel like nothing. That it was happening just after the power had gone out only made her think that maybe Karin was picking up on something the rest of them were missing.
"I don't know, Kar," she said, giving her a squeeze. "Honestly, maybe I'm missing something. We are having a power outage; maybe some wiring was faulty and they have some kind of super advanced shutdown technology or something."
Fiona frowned. The story seemed implausible enough to her, but she couldn't think of anything better; it wasn't exactly her field of expertise.
"Are you feeling all right at least? No headache or anything?" She squinted a little. Karin was not above self-neglect, despite being just about the most nurturing human being on the planet.
