Charlie shrugged. "S'pose it'd be Midwestern South, my town was like an hour or whatever from Arkansas." Giving a brief description of her 200+ pop town was about the most she'd ever said about Bull Creek. It wasn't a bad town, nor was it really all that great. It was just another small town where people got trapped because of their small lives. Charlie was thankful she'd gotten out when she had.
It was an odd sensation, to almost immediately...like? someone. Most people made her feel off, unwelcome. Probably because that's what she assumed of others, people looking at her and instantly judging her. She hadn't really 'clicked' with anyone since meeting Rylee freshman year of high school. But she still couldn't place where she'd met this woman before. Her musings were interrupted by the positing of another question. Another shrug was the beginning to the reply of that one as well.
"Change of scenery. Do I know you?" It was the first question she'd asked of Cat thus far in their short conversation, and while not necessarily rude, it was still within the definition of blunt. Her eyes narrowed a bit, as though in suspicion, but whether Cat could see that motion in the dark was another thing entirely. Charlie wasn't even aware she was doing it.
