OOC: heeee! No worries, happens to all of us! LOLOL
Continuing to scratch Jack's head, Cat nodded. "Missouri - I'm not completely certain, but its it rather the Southern Midwest? Or the Midwestern South?" With a gamine little smile, she said, "I like your accent."
And she did. Cat found that the longer she spoke - however reluctantly - the more she liked Charlie. For her part, Cat wasn't alarmed by the dark - in fact, she was rather comforted by it. But then, she always had been. The darkness of shadow, she found, allowed people to show more of their true selves than they might otherwise, and beyond that, everything seemed rather lovelier and more mysterious in the dark. Everything seemed to have a double meaning. At least.
Somehow, that ambiguity and duality made Cat feel at home.
As for Charlie, though, Cat was glad to see her relaxing just a bit. Following Charlie's gaze, Cat noticed the others in the lobby as well.
"Hmm," she said. "It looks as though the troops are being gathered."
Cat grinned and shrugged. "Do you like California so far, then? What brought you here?"
