Something about the woman seemed to set Charlie a little more at ease, despite the routine interrogation that came whenever making a new acquaintance. The voice maybe, or just her apparently unflappable nature, though Charlie wasn't currently up to the task of being especially prickly. Generally it was proper form to ask the same of the questioner, but the whole 'getting to know you' game had never been Charlie's bag. Instead she focused her curiosity on the woman's accent. "Not from around here, are you? 'Cross the pond, or whatever they call it?"
