In the hall...but just barely
...he'd completely forgotten about the party.
The festivities were hard enough to miss, considering that Shae could hear music wafting down the stairwell as soon as he'd set foot in the building. It had taken him by surprise- at least for the 4.3 seconds it took to recall that, oh yeah, Kami had mentioned something about picking up alcohol for a Christmas shindig. Apparently that was tonight.
Shae made his way up to the second floor landing, pausing as he rounded the stairs and the hallway came into view. There were lights and food and decorations and...wow, really nicely dressed people. He looked down at his own nondescript attire and wondered if it could really be considered "party-worthy". Not that he generally gave a damn about that sort of thing, but this wasn't his party.
In fact, wasn't that Linnaea's apartment? He'd helped the poor girl move her precious few belongings down to this unit, although he hadn't seen much of her since then. Not that he'd seen much of anyone, really. Between all the contracts he'd been working, he barely even had time to sleep, let alone socialize. As it was, he was internally debating whether he had the energy to mix it up with his fellow Pax party-goers.
