The majority of Naea's family that lived in the area had disowned her, save her aunt Mary; her father's sister. It never really got her invited to family functions, but it wasn't so bad. It allowed her to avoid the cult that a good lot of them were in (except Mary), whose beliefs lead to her banishment. Linnaea had made real, true friends. And she loved them. They were her family.
