"David was most certainly mostly about David. He took care of me... when he was around, anyway." Naea bit her lip and wiped at her face. "I... just don't have good luck with guys. Except one. But he's married with 2.5 kids and a dog, now. Go figure." She felt bitter. Of all the things in the world she could feel bitter about, not having great luck in the romance department seemed like the last thing she would want to be bitter about. She had no family that readily welcomed her anymore, her now-deceased father had been a perverted gambling drunk... She should have been in her Sophomore year of college by now.
So much for that. But she had her health, and she was going back to school so she could go to college. And her job, as mundane as it could be, was a good job--she loved her boss and coworkers. The best part? Here at Pax, she was making friends. And that was becoming all the family she could have asked for. "Doesn't matter. David knows he won't do anything to me. I've got so much information on him that he doesn't know about. They'd be on him like white on rice."
Naea smirked lightly and turned to look at Pru. "Hey. I'm sorry for yelling at you. I ... I don't do well when I get like this. And it takes a lot for me to get like this. But thanks for the ride. And for calling him an asshole." She was calming down, which made her feel a million times better. "I think I should just become a nun and move to Siberia. Less asshole to deal with."
