Kami's infectious personality put a smile on Pru's face, and she walked in feeling completely at home. Slipping off her jacket and putting it over one arm, she followed Kami further into the apartment and into the kitchen itself.
"Wait, what? I feel like I've been misinformed," she replied playfully. Of course she was fully willing to help out - it had been her idea after all to bake ginger bread to begin with. It would be like Christmases past, both with and without her father as she and her mother struggled to make things work. Holidays were sometimes the worst, especially with the growing rift between the two Collins women. But she wasn't going to let those memories ruin this get together - no, she was content to just be hanging out with someone she genuinely felt was a friend.
"But, uh, seriously though, you will have to almost literally hold my hand. Maybe assign me stirring duty?"
