The door opened almost instantly as if Kami had just been waiting on the other side for her friend. The grin on her face showed only eager excitement and she was already wearing a brightly-patterned apron over her jeans and light sweater. Upon closer inspection, the pattern resolved itself into a mess of teal and yellow, anthropomorphic dinnerware dancing across the surface. Her hair was pulled back and up, safely kept from her face with a complicated arrangement of barrettes and a headband. "Ready to bake?" she asked, making an expansive welcoming gesture as she opened the door further and took a step back. "I have everything set up and ready to go."
Turning on her heel, Kami motioned for Pru to follow her into the kitchen. "You better realize, though, that I'm totally making you do the work, too." She grinned over her shoulder. "No free rides to cookie town, Pru."
