Christ, this woman wasn't giving up. Of course, something in Charlie whispered in a snide tone that she certainly wasn't giving it her all if she really wanted the woman to leave her alone - then again, she was so used to just making one rude comment and having others storm off almost instantaneously. She wasn't used to this much effort.
Without glancing at the flower or the woman, Charlie proceeded to replace another part on the bike, putting up all pretense that she was still busy and far more interested in fixing her bike than in Cara standing over her.
"Charlie." The word was muttered, almost under her breath and grudgingly so. Hopefully now that Cara had deposited her flower and somehow gotten Charlie's name, she'd go away.
