The sense of one such as this lovely black bird was difficult to mistake. Urðr turned her attention to that feeling - death and blood and love and many other things - as the crow flew up to her side. It was with a smile she greeted the other goddess, bird though she might have been. Birds deserved their honor, too, and all other manner of creatures. After all, these guises were just that: only guises. What was underneath was always infinitely more.
"Hullo, Milady Crow," she said, turning to face the bird more fully. "I am Urðr of the Norns, the Three of Fate in lands far north and on the other side of the world from here." She offered her finger to the bird for a shake. "And you are? You have the look of a Celt about you... for a time, our peoples mingled, but yours were fierce as our own, and drove our boys off." Urðr gave a laugh that bore no malice. "Do you remember?"
