Re: at the bar: Open
Lia arched a brow at the unexpected comment, picking up her glass. Pinot wouldn't have been her first choice, or her second, but someone was still getting a case of viognier that had been ordered from the back. In any case, it wasn't bad, and for now, all she cared about was the drink, not the aromatics. She hadn't noticed the man there, though that only went to show how far off her game she was. He was tall, very lean, and quite good looking. His smile, and the nature of it, brought a little quirk to her own lips. What had her drinking in the first place hadn't been forgotten, but at least for now, it could be pleasantly set aside.
"They're very attractive," she allowed neutrally, allowing her gaze to flicker to them one more time before turning her attention to her new companion. She slid her hand into his. Something flitted through her consciousness.
"Jack, is it?" she said, suddenly connecting a face to the name. "I'm Lia Valencia," she replied, holding his hand for a moment longer before releasing it and swirling the wine in her glass while she considered him. Now this was a good looking fellow. Strange that Kami seemed so interested in Samuel while she was supposedly all knotted up over this fine fellow.
Though some women were just like that, Lia supposed.
"Kami's a friend of yours, isn't she?" Lia asked benignly, quite a charming smile of her own curving her lips.
