Kami laughed and settled herself into the sofa, ankles crossing as she scooted to perch on the very edge after a moment's thought. "That's fine with me. I almost always have more baked goods around than I really need." She watched Pru enjoy the cupcake, a faint smile of pleasure curving her lips. She loved it when others approved of her baking; it gave her a warm, light feeling in her stomach.
Then she turned to look at the binder sitting on the table and leaned forward, one wrist resting on her knee as the other hand reached for the binder. "I think I'll be okay. I ate lunch ages ago," she answered the earlier question. Then she looked sideways at Pru, fingers hesitating on the plastic. "Is it really that bad?"
