"You work on movie sets but you don't want to be a movie star. Doesn't that kind of make you a minority among your peers?" Maybe Ren just assumed that most people who moved to California to work in Hollywood had dreams of stardom. He did. That's why he moved here. And now he works on one of the lowest rungs for Disney.
That was a depressing thought.
"Special effects? Like explosives." Whenever he thought of special effects in movies, he obviously had an idea based on action flicks. Though he was sure she did more than just explosives, but explosives are cool. Or if she worked on scifi movies, that would be even better. Ren was a total geek about those things.
"Have you worked on any recent movies that I might have heard about?"
He followed her out of the elevator on to the second floor. The last time he was here it had looked completely different, like a whole other world. He shook his head lightly to expel the image and to focus on helping Prudence out. He squatted down and helped her unpack the box and grinned at the stuff he found in there. "Any fake blood in here?"
He sighed a little bit at her question. "Ah, well...there's the problem. At this point I would probably do anything. Makes me feel like a sell out, but I've been working at Disney Land ever since I moved here. Personally I like comic book style work, but if Disney gave me a better job as a character designer then I would draw as many woodland creatures or unicorns as they wanted." He glanced up and smiled a little awkwardly at her.
