Zara's arrival was a pleasant surprise. Navid's expression smoothed out into something markedly more positive at the sight of her, a soft smile curving upward the corner of his mouth. "Hello lovely," he answered. His hand brushed lightly past hers as he shrugged out of his coat, gingerly draping it over the railing, soaked sleeve pointed downward, dripping down into the stairwell below. As he drew away he patted the coat, reassuring himself of his cell phone's reasonably protected nest in the coat's inner pocket.
This muted greeting done, he shifted again, closer to their newly made acquaintance. He looked up where Rick had indicated, squinting against the mist. "A foot or two above you," he said, pointing up toward the wall. "It's hard to see for that dark paint, but from the water it looks like the pipe has a pretty solid crack. Almost all the way around, or as far as I can tell anyway." He lifted his hand to his eyes, laughing quietly as he brushed away the water. For whatever reason, Navid found himself as unwilling to be left out of this potential problem-solving session as he was to get his cell phone out in this near downpour. Instead he merely moved up a step, water soaking deeper into his dress shirt, and gave Rick a quizzical look. "Do you have something in mind?"
