Maui spun manaiakalani around and gave it another swing, this time with the pointed hook lodging itself into the serpent's side. He laughed, enjoying the freedom and chaos of the fight, until he couldn't dislodge his hook.
Pushing his foot, that was now bare as his feet certainly did not fit the flimsy flip flops of his mortal shell, into the side of the serpent, he tugged at the hook and tried to free it. "Coyote!" He yelled to the newcomer. His mortal behalf was steaming with questions that only created rage toward the other deity's mortal part, but Maui pushed the mortal's voice aside and ignored it plainly. He had no qualms with the other god. "Get to the creature's jaw. Go from behind."
