Re: Uke Mochi/Apollo, 10 pm, near the pool doors
Uke Mochi’s assessment of his skills greatly amused him. “It’s hard not to be a show-off when you’re the god of the sun,” he pointed out, grinning at her over his shoulder and backing away from the gashadokuro while heading towards the door she’d indicated. “And besides, when you’re this good, you don’t need to worry about your human form. My host is relatively fit – perhaps not as fit as I once was, but he can handle a bit of strain…” Apollo, distracted by his own magnificence, was almost caught off-guard by a swipe from one of gashadokuro’s claws, but deflected it just in time to prevent getting even a scratch. “See? Nothing to worry about…”
He followed her towards the door she’d indicated, sparing merely a glance at the battle going on not far away, centered around Eris and involving a few others he was sure he recognized. “Fear not, Uke Mochi,” he declared, “now that I am in charge of this body, I can protect you from the horrid monsters blocking our path.”
They arrived at the door to see some sort of dog-type thing blocking their path. The rest of the pack was elsewhere, but this one seemed to have been separated from them during the earthquake. Apollo grinned and stretched out a hand in front of them to use the power of the sun to burn it to ash, only to have it snarl at him in an almost mocking way when he didn’t so much as singe a whisker.
“Ohh. Right. Human,” he sighed, as if he’d only just now remembered his current form.
