Re: Ares/Raven/Maui/Coyote - by the pool table, 10 p.m.
Coyote rose from the floor in Chris's stead; the man-like creature covered completely in fur but still standing on his own two legs was surely a sight, but somehow fit into the room of oddities already present. The man who had been next to him disappeared, quite literally, into a cloud of smoke, but Coyote did not have time to muse on this development; he started across the room, ducking as his sensitive nose alerted him to a tipua hurling a piece of feetloaf at his retreating form.
Raven's presence was a comfort, but his one true worry was how Ares's and Maui's vessels would react to the news so unceremoniously presented. It was a thought for another time; he could see Ares beating a path toward the young woman unconscious on the pool table, and he quickly aligned himself with that. It seemed a decent enough plan, aside from simply getting out.
At first, getting to the young woman would have been easy enough, had the giant, horned serpent that had been chasing their impromptu host out of the room had not turned about and decided to guard her instead, like a dragon hovering over its golden horde. Coyote grimaced, coming to a nearby stop beside the two he might have counted as friends; even with that uncertain, now was the better time to prove himself.
"Well, I've certainly never tangled with one of these before. Aren't mongooses supposed to be good with snakes?" He tried to joke, though he quickly sensed that such levity would not be welcome in this scenario. The giant serpent hissed, coiling around the table, and began to dive toward the first of the group.
