It took a moment for Maui to get fully to his feet. While the change had come rapidly, the yell of pain from his human Kal was still ripe in his throat. But Maui stood taller, broader, and with a covering of tattoos than his human counterpart.
Lifting manaiakalani in his hands and meeting Ares eyes, he gave a nod and followed the other god as they moved forward toward Eris but paused when he saw the familiar tipua only to grin. With a swing of manaiakalani, Maui sent one soaring across the room and into a wall. It was good to be back.
