Re: Uke Mochi/Apollo, 10 pm, near the pool doors
Lucas had tightened his hand around Alice's as soon as he saw Brittany on the pool table, knowing she would instinctively want to help her, but also not wanting to let her run towards that monster in front of them. He grit his teeth, eyes shooting daggers across the room as the man spoke.
Soon he found himself on his knees, in pain, but as the pain faded, so did his control over his own body. Again, he could feel Apollo there, in charge, moving his arms and his eyes, rising to his feet. This time, his skin shone with a noticeable golden glow, and while it could not be seen beneath his suit, he knew he had far more muscle than he had before. The air around him seemed to warm, as if they stood in direct sunlight, and in his hand a golden staff appeared, topped with the caduceus. A soon as he touched it, his sight seemed to sharpen. He glanced around the room and seemed to know the outcome of each battle, even before they began. Many would be injured tonight, but he would see to it that he and his companion would not be among them.
"Agreed," he said to Uke Mochi, watching Eris on the table with concern, "however, we will never reach herin time. Others will, and she will be rescued," he predicted, knowing this for certain. "We must escape, now, or we will suffer a far worse fate."
