Re: Nish/James - 7:30, near the punch
He took 'went pretty well' as a win, and James chuckled warmly. Law was a tricky sort of thing, lots of loopholes and interpretations; he knew that most attorneys weren't trusted as far as you could throw them - probably for good reason. But it was the nature of the beast.
"Sounds like a victory of a day, then," he said, moving down as well - now that he had punch, and had consumed some finger foods, he could just blend in and listen to 'Morticia's' instructions to enjoy himself. Fat chance. He felt tense and prickly, and couldn't really shake the feelings either.
But he was here anyway, so. May as well attempt to have a nice time. He sort of hoped he ran into Alex; he hadn't seen her since their gym meeting and he wanted to plan something more concrete for a pub crawl. "Whatever tickles his pickle, I suppose?" James had to laugh a little at Stephan's choice of costume - well, no one could say he didn't fill out that dress nicely. "I must say, you look worlds better in your ensemble, darling."
