"That's why you need to talk to someone, Simon," Pierce said firmly. "A counselor, a therapist, someone who will just listen and help you sort things out. And there's no shame in it. Life isn't easy," he went on, putting down his stack of papers, setting them on the coffee table. "We all have times where we need a little extra assistance. If life was all rainbows and fun things, what would be the point? There wouldn't be any."
He paused before going on. "I can go with you," he offered. "Because you can't go on like this. Drinking is not going to solve anything either."
