It didn't seem like more than fifteen seconds had passed before the young man was approaching her, so all thumb-twiddling and toe-tapping came to a sudden halt as she leaned forward heavily, lifting herself from the sofa with a grin. "That's me." Taking his hand with a firm, friendly grasp, Evan issued a polite and entirely genuine, " 's nice to meet you." Most things sound genuine with a slight country twang, but she wasn't one to be disingenuous.
Taking her hand back to loop her thumbs in her pockets, Evan turned a full, slow 360 to survey the lobby before stopping to face him again. "So, this is the lobby." Grin. At least they had that first part out of the way.
And now for the second part, which was ... well, anything, really. Looking towards the elevator with a quirk of her lips to the left, Evan shrugged with a simple, "Ever seen the elevator before?" An idea sparked, bringing a sort of mischievous glint to her wild hydrangea eyes. "We could ride up to the tower, get a good view of the city." This said under the pretense that no one could possibly live there. It had to be for observation, or for show, or something. To live in the Tower would require more money than God, a concept that just wasn't very accessible to the Kansas girl.
