Re: Percy / OPEN! - 7:25 p.m.
"I'll let that comment slide," he replied with a smirk of his own. Looking down at the pool water he'd specifically chosen not to dive into, Percy's carefree mood wavered only slightly--and even then, he chose to mask his suspicions with a smile instead of a concerned frown.
"And I'm sure they cleaned the pool," he allowed, although it was more of a hypothesis than a solid fact. "Can't be too sure, but it's nothing but bad form if they didn't. Besides, this is California, and we shouldn't judge pools by what color they might be." He shrugged, a sardonic twist to his smile showing itself for an instant. "Still, it does broker questioning on the part of management."
He kicked his legs slowly beneath the pool as he spoke, quite literally treading water. "I don't expect we'll get answers," Percy added, giving Max a sidelong glance. Surely, she must have similar questions as to the mysterious nature of the apartment complex. But he doubted she'd discovered any answers, as he hadn't either--and Percy considered himself to be rather talented at gaining the information he pursued.
