Daniel had to laugh; he had every intention of making up for Chris's welcome—and quite unexpected—doting. Blessedly he had no chance to comment on this, however, as Kal soon joined them, and the conversation turned.
"You're a godsend," Daniel declared, without so much as taking the time to finish the mouthful of chips he was working on. He leaned forward to carefully study his gift, though he did not take it, having nowhere to hide the blunt in his skimpy clothing. "Maybe y'all can come over to my place later tonight. We've got catchin' up to do anyway, don't we? What better accompaniment than this." He picked up another chip and popped it into his mouth. "You can tell Chris all about what a cheating bastard your altar ego is."
