Percy / OPEN! - 7:25 p.m.
He was in a fine mood, all things considered. Although this month had been busier than ever at work, he'd been able to acquire a turtle-sitter for Stella--and thus far, Vinnie had been doing a bang-up job at keeping her fed and watered. Furthermore, although the weird dreams still cropped up at least once a week, they were no longer as odd as the first or second one he'd had.
He could handle dreaming about killing giants and hanging out with someone that seemed uniquely familiar to him--a friend, wasn't it? Or maybe a brother? Whichever it was, he was far fonder of dreams in that vein of thought rather than nightmares of dark forests and Satanic beasts. Waking up in a cold sweat was, Percy had decided, one of his least favorite things ever--and he didn't dislike a lot of things, mind you.
With his birthday just around the corner on Saturday, Percy couldn't help but feel that regardless of every bit of oddness that had happened since leaving Oregon, it was somehow right. As right as pre-gaming for this pool party had been, come to think of it. Nowhere close to being drunk, Percy nonetheless had sauntered downstairs to the party, pleasantly, and lightly, buzzed. He sat at the edge of the pool, adorned in a remotely nautical pair of swim trunks, striped with blue, gold, and white. Sure, it wasn't entirely sunny right now, but he couldn't fathom showing up at a juncture like this dressed in a suit and tie.
Although some of the faces in the milling crowd were familiar, several were certainly not. He made a mental note to introduce himself later, once he'd pulled himself away from the mildly cool water. For now, casual hellos to passerbys would have to do.
