He didn't want to let her down but he also didn't want to make a promise he couldn't keep. "I'll try," was what he settled on, clinging to her hand - not wanting to wake up and leave her here. Tomorrow he would be sitting beside her sleeping form once more, wondering what she was dreaming about.
