Pierce inhaled a sharp breath, trying to think of the best way to phrase this. He believed Mo, of course he did, because things of the supernatural variety were his forte - a hidden talent, of sorts. Most people wouldn't want to contemplate the notion that the mesmerizing images they saw on Ghost Hunters or in the movies were actually real and not just entertainment. Even if they did believe, some foolish ones would attempt to exploit such a gift. Pierce didn't believe in that. He knew what he could do, and he would do it only if necessary.
"Because you have a gift," he said as a matter-of-fact. "No one knows why it happens, or how. But it happens." He took another sip of tea, remaining calm. "They won't hurt you."
