Simon looked up at the sound of first footsteps and then the other's voice, steadying a glance upon him for a long moment before nodding his assent at the question. He hardly got a chance to say anything more before Pierce was taking hold of his arm and guiding him out of the lobby.
"Ah, either's fine. I'm just..." He paused, looking back towards Pierce, brow creasing for a moment, a strange feeling touching him. There was no reason that he could think of to have such a strange feeling, so he pushed it away and concentrated on keeping pace with the older man. "Not used to people calling me Casper. Aura's the only one who calls me that, so it's a little strange." A pause, a small twitch of his lips. "You and her are friendly together. Friendly enough that she told you all about me?"
There it was. That underlying note of suspicion, of anger skimming beneath the surface. Part of it was towards Aura, at her laying out their relationship so openly, going so far as to reveal his real name. It wasn't that he was ashamed, nothing of the sort, but it was not the sort of thing he wanted to wave around like a banner.
