She laughed sheepishly, amused and embarrassed that she strong armed him into another date. She usually had a lot more tact than that. She didn’t kiss him, as much as she wanted to, since the door was still unlocked. But behind the desk she grabbed his hand and gave him a reassuring squeeze.
“We’ll talk about the rest of the stuff sometime later?” She nodded her head toward the door. No one here needed to know about the reflections or the earthquakes. Her free hand grabbed the clipboard she had initially brought and set it in front of him on his desk. “Now sign these papers before I get yelled at for being a slacker.”
