“Same,” she admitted with a sigh. She glanced down at the clipboard in her arms and caught her reflection on the shiny metal. Cassie inhaled sharply and pressed it against her chest, folding it in her arms. To Paul she gave a tight little smile.
“I’ve had a really weird morning too. I thought—” She cut herself off. She couldn’t really tell him what she saw. She wasn’t even sure what she saw. That everywhere she looked showed her turning into a makeshift mermaid? “I dunno. I think I’m just going crazy. Or that I need some coffee.”
