Re: By the stage
Alexandria nodded, noting that she had enough in her glass to last at least until Mo returned, but it was always nice to have a backup. Her fingers thrummed on the high-top, punctuating the beat, her body moving even in her seat to the percussion. It took a moment for her to realize she was being approached by the same charmer who'd been so insistent before, this time, with a friend. Putting her back to the table, she folded her arms and looked at the original offender, ignoring his cohort.
"Can I help you?" she asked. A repulsive little smile curved his lips.
"Oh, I bet you can," he said, leaning forward as he took a step closer. The disparity in their heights was somewhat mitigated by her platform shoes, but she still had to tilt her head up slightly to give him a withering look. He was taking up her entire field of vision. "I was thinking me and my friend and you and your friend could have some fun tonight..." He reached for her, and she ducked out of his grasp.
"Look, I don't know how many more ways I can possibly communicate this to you; I'm not interested. Not in you, not in your friend, not in me and my friend hanging out with you and your friend. Now please get lost before I start screaming my head off until somebody bounces you and your friend out of here."
He cast a look behind her at his friend, and a little smile came over his face. "Nah, that's OK - we don't want any problems," he grinned at her, something disgusting and smug in it. "We're just being friendly. Maybe you'll be feeling more friendly later."
With that, he gave her a little salute, signaled his friend, and moved to a table not too far off, but far enough so that Alexandria could grind her teeth, turn back to her table, and wait for her friends to come back as she took a pull of her drink so long that she nearly finished it in one gulp.
