If Cassie was at all bothered by his close proximity, when he reached around her or when she felt his fingers at her hip, she didn’t show it. They were at club for god’s sake; the press and brush of people against each other was expected. If anything her smile was easy, even more so once they both had drinks in their hands.
She lifted her drink in turn and gently clinked it against his bottle, pulling it back and taking a long sip of her drink. She took a moment to really look at him, or as best she could under the dim club lights. Delicate fingers gestured to the room around them before she went ahead and stated the very obvious. “This doesn’t look like your kind of scene.”
