8am (open to anyone)
Bear woke her up exceptionally early that morning, yowling at the front door of her apartment and scratching at the door. It was 6am, and since it wasn't a run day, she had set her alarm for 8am. With something between a sigh and a groan, she got out of bed, padding on bare feet towards where Bear was having his freakout.
"What is it, buddy?" she asked, crouching down and doing her best to calm him with gentle pets. He wasn't swayed, but continued trying to claw his way through the door. "Hey, you want some breakfast?" she yawned, but he still wouldn't budge. She stayed with him, trying to coax him back to his old self, for about a half hour before she gave up. Instead, she went on with her morning routine, having breakfast, putting out Bear's food, getting ready for work. All the while glancing at her cat who was seriously jonsing to get outside.
Finally, she'd had enough. She brought his food dish into her office, on the opposite side of the room as his litter box, and picked him up, tossing him in there and closing the door. She couldn't have him trying to escape while she was going to work.
And that was when she opened the door, and it all made sense.
Cats. Everywhere. She hadn't heard them over the sound of Bear's meowing, but now she completely understood. "What the..." they definitely looked feral, and she made sure to give them a wide berth on her way to the elevators. Once she made it to the lobby she made a b-line towards Stephan, ever at his desk.
"Hey...what's with all the cats?" she asked in a slightly irritated tone. "This is a health hazard and you need to call animal control or something..."
