She didn't see the predatory grin on his face, too busy watching the bartender port her another drink. She'd love going since lost count of how much she'd had, but at this point the she no longer cared.
As gone as she was though, she still caught the subtle - or not so subtle - suggestion behind his words. She swallowed thickly, tamping down some emotion she couldn’t name, bringing the glass to her lips again. "I can't speak for them," she said, her voice sounding far away to her. "But I'm with someone..." It wasn't like her to turn down such a suggestion, especially as drunk as she was, and even as the words left her lips they sounded hollow.
