"I was going to say nothing, but a dessert would be nice," Isobel added. "Really, though, I'm going to put a menu together, and your presence would be more than enough." She didn't add that there were specific reasons why she wanted to start developing happy memories in this complex, that she wanted to put as many barriers between herself and the past as possible, because the conversation was developing so nicely that she didn't want to do anything to jeopardize it.
"It'll be nice to finally have a reason for all that space," she added, then quickly glossed over the comment as she realized her error. "I mean, we have a new dining set, and it's a shame it doesn't get more use." She wasn't sure that that necessarily helped.
