Isobel dropped her hand from Obed's side, instead having it meet its sibling in cupping her drink before her.
"Hanni's pretty durable, but I don't think he spends enough time around other animals. I know I'd love to go for a walk with you in the evening. Obed usually handles doggie duties in the morning. I leave for work pretty early — Obed has a little later shift than me, but that's what comes out of being the boss, I guess," she added, trying to be humorous and pull Obed a little out of his shell. She glanced at him, one brow rising in question to see if he wanted to offer more details. From her perspective, things were going perfectly smoothly, and as far as she could tell, no one was acting out of character.
