Who: David and Linnaea
What: David finally shows up... after his girlfriend did all the moving-in stuff (also before Pierce's phone call)
Where: 603
When: Today, mid-day ish
Warnings: None yet
When David had told Linnaea that he'd 'be along in a day or two at the most', he'd actually meant it. The apartment was all paid for, but he had a few things to take care of before he could move in with her; unfortunately said 'things' took longer than he expected. Long story short, he owed this guy some money who owed this other guy some money, and the bottom line was that both guys wanted their money. So David had needed to get some money, which hadn't been as easy as he thought. Anyway, the point was that it was all taken care of now, and as far as he knew no one else should have been bothering him for the next little while. At least, he hoped not. He tried his best to keep Naea out of his... workings, even though he knew she had a general idea of what he did. But she never asked too many questions - one of the things he liked about her - and besides, all that really mattered was that he generally kept himself out of trouble and made sure they were both taken care of.
The goddamn elevator had taken him to the wrong floor twice before finally bringing him to the sixth floor, and he gave the thing a kick before getting off and glancing down the hallway. He hadn't called her to let her know he was coming, figuring he'd surprise her instead. It seemed like a good idea... until he realized she might be a little miffed that he'd taken so long. And that he'd left her with a shit-ton of boxes to unpack and things to set up. Oops.
At least he had his key, right? He'd managed to remember that, at least. Besides, how hard could unpacking be? David was sure she'd managed just fine on her own. Pausing to balance his bags long enough to get his key, he slid it in and pushed open the door. "Naea?" He slid inside and kicked the door shut behind him, making sure his very best 'You know you can't stay mad at me, baby' smile was at the ready. "I'm ho-ome," he called out in an exaggerated sing-song tone, dropping his bags by the door and glancing around.
