Billy, a naturally surface person, didn't look too deep for the source of that guilty look. If Simon wanted to tell him, he would. If he didn't want to tell him, then Billy would mind his own business unless it came up in some way that was more urgent.
"Hey, thanks for the offer," he said, grateful but careful how much he showed it. He believed Simon's offer to be earnest, but he also knew that if he kept calling people to do shit for him and haul things back and forth, he wouldn't have friends for very long. "Actually..." he debated the request, wondering how far to push it before continuing. "The lady in 207 set me up with some plants." Billy had the impression of an older lady with a lot of potted flowers in the window and a number of cats. "There's a couple I can't lift out of the box. You think I can bother you...? I know you just got all your paintings here, though, you're probably wiped." A smile. He was giving Simon an out in case he wanted to avoid the request.
