Who: Serena & Juliet.
What: Hello hello hello.
Where: A Little Touch of Heaven.
When: Twelve and thirty in the pm.
Warnings: TBA? We have two classy ladies here, I don't think anything will be going down.

Pushing the strap of her purse back up, Juliet pushed the glass door of the nail salon open and scanned the area for Serena. Her plain, un-made up lips pursed, not seeing the new addition to the apartment complex (at least, no one who matched her description), and hoped the other woman hadn't gotten lost on the drive from her office. This particular salon was tucked away inside of a shopping center, really a gem of a find that she'd stumbled across one day while looking for a better grocery store to get ingredients to make a late Thanksgiving meal for Nathaniel. Shifting in place, she let her eyes do one last look over of the place, and saw Tiffany waving, getting two chairs ready for the women who had called ahead. Her own hand raised in reply, but she made no move toward the woman, instead wanting to be sure that Serena got there all right.

Turning toward the secretary's desk, her heels clicked smartly on the tiled floor and a smile appeared as she checked in for the appointment she'd made, then went to sit in one of the lobby chairs, her legs crossing in a princess pose as she dug out her latest book in order to pass the time while waiting for her salon companion's arrival. A pair of flip-flops shuffled aside in her bag, ready to be worn once both her hands and feet were freshly seen to; neither were in that bad of a shape, but currently weren't sporting any sort of polish. Flipping open the book, she settled into her seat as she picked up where she'd left off on the adventures of Katniss and Peeta.

Of course Juliet, being the planner that she was, should have expected that sort of question. She knew she'd be fielding it from her parents soon enough when she told them that she was dating - but the excuse that there'd be more time had always circumvented actually planning out a response. So for a moment she fell quiet, her mouth open and then slowly closing as she tried to think of the best way to phrase things without getting Nathaniel in trouble.

"We, uh...I...he was...my doctor. My, um, psychologist..." Lying had never been in her, and even if she'd tried, Juliet had always been poor at lacing together untruths. So with her cheeks slightly reddening, she jumped slightly when a hot stone was applied to the bottom of her foot, a surprising sensation that normally would otherwise relax her. "But it's not as though he dates his patients, really, it just kind of snuck up on us...

"You don't have to report him or anything, do you?" She glanced worriedly at Serena, suddenly kicking herself for going down this path of conversation in the first place.

"He does. He really does," she replied, relaxing almost at once after securing Serena's reassurances. There was absolutely nothing to complain about regarding Nathaniel, at least, nothing major that she had hit on yet. Except perhaps his strange obsession with reality television, but she supposed that was countered by her making him sit through hours of romantic comedies. Every relationship was full of compromise.

"So what about this 'friend' you're going out to dinner with? How do you know each other?" She settled back into her seat as the hot stones were removed and the first clear coat of polish was applied to her nails - Juliet was more than glad to turn the topic of conversation from herself for the moment.

Suddenly their roles were reversed, and Juliet couldn't help but produce a small, sly smile toward that switch. Obviously there was more here than Serena was telling, but it was obvious Serena wasn't comfortable saying.

"Well, maybe it's fate!" The sly smile became a full-fledged grin as she wholly indulged in her beliefs. "Maybe you're both here again, and it was meant to be. Oh, that would be terribly romantic, don't you think?"

"No time like the present to put theory into practice," Juliet replied, moving her feet to help them into the neon green flip-flops that were provided by the salon. She stayed seated, though, waiting for Serena to be finished before moving to the drying area.

"I mean, if you've seen what everyone else is doing wrong, then you can definitely not do it yourself. Or one would hope," she carefully retracted, unsure of her words. But that did nothing to douse the smile on her face. She did truly hope that things went well for Serena on her 'not-date'; it was the natural inclination of someone who was happy for others to be in such a state as well. Slowly, she rose from her seat, making sure to grab her shoes and purse, before pausing in the direction of chairs around the front lobby where there would be heating boxes to help dry their painted toes.

Juliet glanced at Serena, giving a sympathetic wince. That would certainly make things odd, but even though they'd only just met, she certainly couldn't picture someone as confident and well put together as Serena mucking up something as simple as a date.

"Well, I mean, if it's not a date-date, you could always both treat it like two friends just going out for a bite. No pressure. I'm sure things will be perfectly fine." Juliet did her best to keep a reassuring tone, knowing what one sounded like from years of therapy. Though in no way was she trying to patronize Serena through her attempts to calm any detected fears. She moved to a chair and leaned forward to drag one of the heating boxes toward herself, slowly putting her toes into the warmth. It wouldn't take too long before they would dry, since she ha only had a clear coat of polish applied.

"So are you heading back to work after this?" Once she was settled, she turned her attention back to her salon companion, a pleasant expression on her features.
