Juliet glanced at Serena, giving a sympathetic wince. That would certainly make things odd, but even though they'd only just met, she certainly couldn't picture someone as confident and well put together as Serena mucking up something as simple as a date.
"Well, I mean, if it's not a date-date, you could always both treat it like two friends just going out for a bite. No pressure. I'm sure things will be perfectly fine." Juliet did her best to keep a reassuring tone, knowing what one sounded like from years of therapy. Though in no way was she trying to patronize Serena through her attempts to calm any detected fears. She moved to a chair and leaned forward to drag one of the heating boxes toward herself, slowly putting her toes into the warmth. It wouldn't take too long before they would dry, since she ha only had a clear coat of polish applied.
"So are you heading back to work after this?" Once she was settled, she turned her attention back to her salon companion, a pleasant expression on her features.
