Hi everyone, apparently this is the place to make yourself known to your neighbours. I'm Jenny and some of you may have noticed me moving in last night, sorry about that.

My removal guy had to be rushed to hospital yesterday afternoon so I didn't end up driving down until 11. Not that any of you really needed all that detail. Anyway, I'm originally from Scotland, but I've lived for the past year in Costa Mesa where I still work at their renaissance centre. I suppose I should also let you all know that I have a dog but I promise he won't make any noise. He's not barked at a single human being for the all of the time I've had him.

If I did wake anyone up I'd love to make it up to you with a cup of tea? Just drop me a line, I'll be in all weekend attempting to unpack all of these boxes.

Welcome to the building! I thought it looked like someone was moving in. This place is so empty though considering all the weird things that go on, it's not that surprising so I'm glad to see it starting to fill up! I'm Juliet, in 802, and even though you didn't disturb my rest my nightmares take care of that I'd love to get a drink with you, whenever you like! I really need to get out more...

Thanks! It's nice to meet you Juliet and a drink sounds amazing, where's good around here?

There's this cute little place called Cafe of Doom within walking distance of the building. When are you free?

I'm free now if you are. I've given up on trying to unpack for now and could really use some caffeine.

Sounded like elephants the other night, and just when I happen to be in my apartment...not that I'm holding it against you. Julian, 407, welcome to the building. If you're the sort to drink something harder than tea, feel free to stop by CASKET. [ insert shameless advertising and directions here ]

Oh really? Sorry. I did take off my shoes so I was a bit quieter but obviously by elephantine bulk made enough noise anyway.

Tea's good but something harder is always better. What's CASKET like then? Sell it to me.

Don't take my earlier post for criticism, I just get cranky when my beauty rest is disturbed especially when it's after an 18-hour shift, but I have no one else to blame...maybe Ariana was right when she said I was a workaholic.

It's a nice little place, definitely popular around these parts. I could definitely give you a biased review, but you could get opinions for any of your neighbors - I think they've all visited at one point or another. Good music, good drinks, good company is the best way to sum it all up.

No offence taken. I can get a little moody myself from time to time.

Sounds interesting by all means, I'll gather some more info but I'm pretty sure I'll be calling in at some point.

Greetings, new neighbor. Fear not, you're far from alone in just arriving; seems this building is few of eager, oft-traveling people.

My name's Alexander Dahlin, and I'm currently located in P2. I've quite the library, if you're ever feeling bored, and I would encourage you to come up and peruse if the mood so strikes. Likewise, my neighbor across the hall, one Mr. Michael Wolf (and my very good friend) has quite the film collection, or so I'm told. Do stop be some time. Bring alcohol is encouraged. Although I can supply it. Are you by any change single?

If I may ask, what sort of dog do you have?

Oh, and before I forget, Mr. Wolf and I will be throwing a party this evening, open for all tenants; perhaps we'll see you there.

Seems like I've arrived at the right time then, I do hate to be the newest girl in class.

Penthouse? I see. Fancy. I'll definitely take you up on the offer of looking through your books, got anything on Greek architecture? I couldn't seem to find a decent book shop in Costa Mesa.

Feean's a terrier cross. Not entirely sure what he's a cross of but there's some border collie in there for definite.

Perhaps you will see me there. Wouldn't miss a chance to nose around your swish pad.

Ah, another late night arrival! We are a lonely bunch, forever apologizing to our fellows with offerings of sustenance. Nice touch with the tea, by the way. I went for pizza and beer myself.

I'm Richard, and I live just down the hall from you. All I can say is that I must have been Incredibly tired last night, because I didn't hear a thing. Let me know if you need help unpacking. We late-nighters have to stick together.

Late? A wizard is never late! I didn't realise there was an allotted time, sorry. I'm usually much more punctual. And tea is good but pizza and beer might have been a little more tempting.

It's nice to meet you Richard and I could always use help unpacking. I had next to nothing when I came over to the US and now I've got hundreds of boxes of stuff. I have no idea where it all came from.

Some people seem to claim that moving should be done "before you wake up the whole building". I've never believed it myself, as our fellow tenants can attest, but it's a popular position.

The beer and pizza wasn't as effective as I had hoped it was, actually. Let me know if you get better results with the tea. If we gather enough information, we could learn the perfect food combination to rule this place.

It's nice to meet you too, Jennifer. Let me know if there's a good time to show up and help fight off the boxes. I have a theory that stuff breeds when we're not looking, like well-fed Gremlins after midnight. I'm happy to offer backup.

Clearly people just need to stay up a little later, then it'd be almost impossible to wake them all up, considering they wouldn't be asleep.

I like your thinking, my friend. I'll start a tally of how many people I can get to help me unpack with the promise of tea. Though I think we can both agree that food is the way to pretty much anybody's heart.

Any time this weekend would be good, I'm off to work again on Monday and as much as I would love to leave people I've just met working unpacking in my flat, I'm not sure my dog would agree with me.

Obviously. I'm surprised they haven't caught on yet. I, myself, keep in the healthy habit of never sleeping. It also keeps me from having nightmares.

Food and music, in my experience. The one two combo of home made bread and Waylon Jennings have won more hearts than I care to recall.

Hey, dogs love me! I'd be more worried about unpacking things incorrectly. The toilet paper goes in the kitchen cabinets, right?

Now, there's staying up late and then there's just not sleeping. I can't understand that, it's one of my favourite things to do.

You may be on to a winner with that one, if you added live music you'd probably have everyone eating out of your hands.

Sure. To be honest, I don't have much of a system, so long as I know where things are so I can get at them.

I'm always in the mood for a cup of good tea, even though you haven't woken me up. If you need any help unpacking, I'll be glad to lend a hand, just let me know.

I'm Sean and I teach yoga and meditation and the Newport Zen Studio, and I offer free lessons to my neighbors at Pax, you just have to let me know.

I'm happy to meet more people who like tea. I couldn't move for coffee-drinkers in my last apartment building. And aid with these ridiculous boxes is always welcome, just let me know when you're free.

Nice to meet you, Sean. And you do intrigue me, I've always meant to try yoga.

Hi I'm Vanessa in 205 and it's always great to see new faces around here. I work at Muldoons, an Irish themed bar. I know it's not Scottish, and the theme is more cheese than anything, but we do have some very good beer because of it, so you should stop by sometime!

Hey,Vanessa! Irish themed bars and pubs are always my cup of tea, reminds me more of home than most places ate least. And good beer is hard to come by these days. I'll definitely stop by!
