Hi Cat,

I hope you are doing well and I'm sorry to bother you. I just wanted to let you know that Charlie's birthday is coming up. It's on Halloween. I'm sure she didn't mention anything to you and don't think that you have to do anything for her birthday, but I thought you might like to know. :)

PS: She would likely murder me if anyone made a big deal out of her birthday, so please don't if you decide to take notice of it. :(

Cat,

I unfortunately will be working the day of her birthday but I have a dinner of sorts planned for her when I get home. During the weekend I am just going to follow her lead- whatever she wants she gets. She keeps suggesting the both of us wear a couples costume for the weekend and I told her I'd wear whatever she picks... she seemed thrilled. I hope she doesn't put me in tights.

I'm really bad at planning these things. :( And if I make too big of a deal over it she will probably kick me.
