907 to everyone

I heard that postin' in here was somethin' a person oughta do when they first move in! I'm Thomas, but y'all can call me anything, just don't call me late!! Lol.

I'm gonna be down at The Environmental Nature Center a lot, just doin' my thing, and y'all should come pay me a visit if ya like nature and don't hate our beautiful mother earth! I wouldn't even do a dog the way so many people like to treat her. =(

Anywho, if any of y'all have met Matt, he's pretty much my best friend ever, and he oughta go check his mailbox, 'cause I left him a present.

Well, I reckon that's enough from me. Nice to meet y'all! =D

Ok, first thing I gotta know: Texas, Georgia, or Tennessee?

Texas, as a matter of fact. Only state outta those three I'd ever be caught alive in.

can you even have flashbacks to a place you don't remember

Knew it had to be one of those. I'd say me too, but I don't think it counts if you move away when you're a baby.

Eeeh. The only lasting mark it left was how much I love that massive orange beast that's parked outside.

Yeeeah. I'm working on getting the parts to reduce its emissions. Until I get that fixed, it's parked except in case of emergency.

On the plus side, if this place floods or catches on fire, I know I can drive it out. That monster used to belong to a first responder.

Y'know, I'd be happy to help ya with those kinda alterations! I ain't a wizard under the hood of a car, but I know how to find decent parts that won't eventually suffocate us all to death and beyond. Just sayin'.

Nah, I don't forsee anything like that happenin' here. Too nice of a place, and we got enough warnin' systems in this day and age to let us know ahead of time. But you're representin' a higher power by drivin' that thing--gonna say again, I can help ya find better parts.

Oh man, I will kiss you owe you big time if you can find a place that'll sell me the parts! Fixing it up is nothing; you don't own a truck older than you are without knowin' how to fix it.

Yeah but this place is crazy my dude the option is still nice, you feel me? Also I can haul stuff off for my neighbors for the cheap cheap price of food or booze.

Sure thing, man, but I didn't quite catch your name? I can have a look around this week, scrounge up a reputable business for ya.

Sure, sure, always gotta know which side your bread is buttered on, especially in the case of natural disasters. But after you get these parts, ya can do it without killing our planet. =)

Sorry bout that. I'm Vinnie, short dude with the hair living in 108. I really appreciate it, between the jobs and this place being a fucking horror movie getting my feet under me, I haven't had much spare time. I've only gotten laid twice since I moved, I'm gonna die.

Hey, whatever it takes to keep this place from stinking like New York.

I'll join you for dinner. I certainly would like to see you. I've been working a lot this month but my schedule frees up next week. But just give me a ring if you need anything before then, alright? I can't believe you're here though. It'll be great to see you. Just like old times.

I sure can't wait! We'll be ringing in the summer together, and isn't that just dandy? I've got a lot to catch ya up on, and I figure it's likewise. Got a little place in mind, too, I'll send you the address. =D

Wow, aren't you excited to be here! I'm Nish, and I can't keep a plant alive to save my life. Maybe I water them too much (or not enough?) Anyway, welcome :)

Miss Nish, I've always been happier than a dead pig in the sunshine, movin' can't change a thing. You oughta come down to the ENC sometime, we'll hook ya up real nice with something easy to care for. Otherwise, I've always got a few succulents to spare, if you'd like.

Maybe I will! It'll have to come with detailed instructions on 'how to not kill a plant'. Also, I'd need something my cat won't be tempted to eat. Or destroy.

Well, first what you oughta do is get your cat a little treat for himself, that way I reckon he'll leave whatever plant you get alone. Boston ferns are real good for that kinda thing!

Just as long as it's safe in case he *does* nibble on it, I've heard that a lot of plants are not good for cats, even though they love them. Ferns are pretty, but I seem to recall many Garfield comics of Jon not ever being able to keep one with Garfield in the house!

Nah, ya ain't got nothin' to worry about with a Boston. See, they're non-toxic, and if ya don't wanna keep your windows open all the way, all the time, they do pretty well in the shade. Just gotta think of them as the introverts of the plant world. Before ya know it, you'll be a regular connoisseur of plant life! Jon only ever had one oar in the water, Garfield woulda been fine with a fern. =)

He *was* fine, even though he kept eating them! Jon wasn't though, he had to keep buying them.

Maybe I'll just put it up high because cats can't jump five times their body length or anything</i>.

Welcome to the fold, Thomas! I'm definitely going to hit you up for a tour around the Nature Center; getting out is something I need to do more of. I'm Gabe, by the way, in 805. A Texan environmentalist, though, now I feel like I've seen everything! No offense meant, ofc!

I'd be delighted to give ya a tour! We need more folks in the world that wanna learn a bit more about savin' the earth! It's good to meet ya, and I don't see any old reason to be offended, 'cause where's the sense in that? We're on this earth for too short of a time to spend it feelin' unhappy!

If ya avoid the weekends + Fridays (we get a lot of field trips up here, and it gets more hectic than a fox in a hen coop), any other day of the week is right as rain for some relaxin' perusal of our exhibits.
