Vorian and Lucilius, what to do with a murderer.
Who: Vorian and Lucilius Demos
When: Days after Jesina's wedding.
Where: The Demos Palace at Antul
What: Vorian is the king and something has to be done as far as the killing of someone who is of noble blood, even if it is done by a princess. So he has summoned his brother to discuss the punishment that his wife should incur for the killing of their Aunt, her mother.
It was somewhat unusual for Vorian to officially summon his younger brother. Such an official summons was rarely necessary, but on this particular matter it seemed to fit the situation. Just as with the treason of Aneesha, it was simply necessary to make it understood that this was an 'official' meeting, not a simple brother to brother discussion. Not that they had very many of those.
Sitting in the parlor attached to his private rooms, Vorian seemed rather introspective, another something that happened only rarely. His suit jacket was actually folded on the back of his chair. He was wearing a maroon button down shirt under a black vest with matching pants. Shoes with a mirror shine, the kind of dress that one could come to expect from a king. The other, fairly high up, members of the court were clamoring for some kind of punishment to be handed down on the new princess for her choice to kill her parent. Oddly, Sanders DeLucos Sr who had the most reason to be irate seemed subdued at the discussions. He was the injured party, but he had simply bowed his head and stated that the King should do as he saw fit regarding his daughter's actions. He was rather torn as he was the husband of the deceased and the father of the killer. So to whom did he owe his allegiance in this situation? It was strange to see him behave in such a manner as if something in him had truly been damaged by the events. Certainly strange. It was almost enough to make one wonder if perhaps sanders had cared for Valeria in some way. No way to tell, really.
Waiting on Lucilius, Vorian found himself sitting with his eyes closed. Lucilius would be along soon enough and they would have a short discussion regarding what had gone on. He would undoubtedly have some words to say considering that it was his bride who was staring at the possibility of being executed only days into their marriage.
