Stan hadn't made it through the Wave. Zephia's heart was broken when she found out, and Jeb hadn't been there to comfort her. In fact, with Jeb telling her that he was moving back into the scrap yard, Jesina with her husband-guy, and Azrael with the elves, Zephia realized she had nobody to turn to for the first time since she arrived on the island. And now, she and Jeb's cute little old landlord was dead. With no family other than his tenants, Zephia felt it was somehow her responsibility to sift through the old building and collect his things.
Zephia's new place of residence was the DeLucos manor, though she didn't openly advretise that. After she and Jeb had talked extensively about Sanders and how people outside the O'Rourkes viewed them, Zephia was careful to keep her mouth shut. All of her things were already put away in Jesina's old room, and she figured she could keep what she wanted of Stan's and give the rest to the new poor house.
The warm May sun reflected off Zephia's golden tresses as she wound her way through the scrap yard looking for Jeb. A couple of cat-calls later, another blonde woman caught her attention. The snake-woman stopped and answered with a returned greeting, "Hi." But she initially made no outwards signals that indicated who she was and what she wanted. Why would a woman be living in the scrap yard with the rest of the bikers? Who was this hot little thing that was strutting about as if she owned the place? Jeb had told her that Spyder was the one in charge, and Zephia knew that Spyder was not a cute little blonde girl.
And then a light bulb went off. Bee! Hand't Jeb talked about his precious Bee moving in with him, and getting engaged, and her personality? Sometimes, Zephia felt as though she had known Bee for years, though in truth, she had never met the woman. A warm, friendly smile parted Zephia's lips. She offered her hand, "You must be Bee. I'm Zephia, and I'm looking for Jeb."
