This was new information for the younger woman. It must have happened after she'd gone off shift... Off shift, she mentally rolled her eyes. She was picking up the lingo. "He nearly hurt her? What the heck happened?" she was toning down her language for this assignment. "Asking too many questions or something?"
Emorie's attention was sidetracked as Meghan pointed out the man in the suit. She had to smile. He was tall. A lot taller than her, and she nodded. "He's definately one to write home about." And it was true. She didn't get many opportunities to do this - just sit and gossip. Half the time she was on her own and hunting. No time for guy watching.
When he pulled out the ID she had tried to get a good look at the ID that the man had flashed but she hadn't had time to do so before it was put back away. And then Abby led him away... there was something about his appearance? It was almost too perfect. And if he wanted information why had he come to the place? Wouldn't Abby have been told if someone was coming by?
She raised an eyebrow and shook her head, waving at the older woman. "See you later, Abby!" she called. "Oh! And be gentle with him!"
She smirked and turned to Meghan. "Did you get a good look at the ID?" She was curious. "What do you think?" She'd done her fair share of impersonating federal agents and law enforcement over the years. Was it Law Enforcement? State police was out. They wore uniforms. And she had to wonder, if this was someone higher up, why were they here? The police had already come and taken statements, and they had Dr. V's number, right? So why send someone new down?
Then again someone who wanted information on the clinic - especialyl someone that age, the age of technology, would probably have checked the website or called... Maybe she was overthinking.
