“Nah, lets just go.” Dean knew what Sammy was thinking. It was more than obvious. He truly wasn’t trying to be irritating but attempting to explain that would just be a waste of time. Dean never had been very good at expressing himself calmly…especially when he didn’t feel particularly calm. His head ached, he was tired and the really did just want to stay the night.
Staying the night though wouldn’t be saving people. Fair enough, neither would driving for half of it, but it would at least be a start. And they both needed this for different reasons. Saving people seemed to be all they had left to start making up for the choices they’d both made.
He attempted to look a little more enthusiastic about the thought of driving all night. “Hey…don’t knock it. You’re always whining you never get to drive. Same rules though! You damage my baby and I’ll have to kill you.”
