Angel used to visit me sometimes, in prison. He told me about this time that he fired his entire team because they wouldn't be able to cope with his choices, because he was going to a place they couldn't follow. Then there was this whole part about epiphanies, I didn't get that bit.
It has been made very clear to me that for some people it was never me they signed on to backup, it was Peter. Without him here, it seems that my orders are irrelevant, being the Slayer is meaningless. I never needed everyone to agree with me, but what I did hope for was that when it came to crunch time, they'd watch my back.
