"One week," Lydia promised. She was used to early mornings, anyway because of school, but she wasn't used to mornings quite as early as she thought Sara probably meant, so it didn't hurt to have that little reassurance that she wasn't going to unintentionally blow Sara off on the first day because she'd accidentally overslept.
The fact that Sara didn't pry was kind of a relief. It was hard to explain the crazy back home without outing the boys and Malia and it wasn't really Lydia's place to be the one to do that, even if it was just to one person.
"Starting from scratch," she admitted sheepishly, wrinkling her nose. "Sorry. I hope that's okay. I'm a fast learner, though, and a hard worker," she assured the other woman.
